Set Me Free!

I ventured a voyage,
In a semi-wrecked ship,
On the weary and desolate seas,
Obscenely foolhardy and dreamy bold,
Away from the hearts so cold,
Over to the other side of the world,
Where there's eternal sunshine,
And everyone plucks the gowans fine!
Harrowing journey for mind and soul,
A quest for emotion, inspiration,
And maybe, wisdom?
And with well-placed intentions,
Only to find myself ensnared,
In your little ornate glass case,
Of stereotypes and mindless pride,
Of misplaced faith and prejudices,
Suffocating me to death, the incessant nag!
Unshackle me, the lowly you!
Let me soar the skies, carefree,
Finish what I started, For
Doing so would set you free, too!

Cowardice!

I pity you, you wretched being!
For your heart is cold,
Your mind is void,
You're as hollow as fear,
Devoid of empathy, and
Worse than an incubus,
You're just a spineless eel,
You strive to feel,
For that you could kill or keel!
